This video is part of a larger body of work where I perform as Lawnette Grass: a drag persona inspired by the oppression of suburbia, the obsession with manicured lawns, and the perverted fiction of the American dream. In this video Lawnette does a striptease as a way to critique the American fetishization of the suburban lawn as a symbolic beacon for order and success. This work features original music by Bara Hari.
