“Thunder in the Tropics” is a solo project that seeks to immerse the audience in the sensations of being in the forest. This performance research explores the ritualism of tropical countries, investigating Candomblé entities, indigenous roots, and mythology while integrating the music of the Psycho Tropiques ensemble.

A psychedelic syncretism—an organic techno-virus—the research unfolds as a sonic and sensory exploration with choreography developed within this “jungle room.” This is a 5D performance: possession, body-ritual, and the lived experience of inhabiting the island as a space for the fantastic and the fabulous.
