The act of leaving a mark—its corporeal and material implications—has been a central theme in my artistic practice. Through sculpture, printmaking, site-specific installations, and performance, I explore the presence of women in the micropolitics of everyday life, history, and labor.
My work stems from encounters with objects and materials from daily life, which reveal layers of social, sensory, and metaphorical meaning.
Through the analogy of materiality and the human body, I continually examine dichotomies such as fragility and strength, lightness and weight, tension and release. I am particularly interested in processes that demand prolonged bodily labor—transforming raw materials such as fibers, textiles, or contrasting elements like soap, both soft and hard.
In these transformations, I contemplate the performative aspect of labor and how my own body undergoes these experiences.
